This scholarship honors the memory of Curt Greene, who served in many capacities in the Standardbred industry after working his way through school. A member of the Harness Racing Hall of Fame Communicator鈥檚 Corner, Curt brought energy and enthusiasm to every position he held and this scholarship is intended for those who share his passion for racing.

Eligibility & Requirements:

• For students who have keen interest in any facet of harness racing and can show financial need.
• Applicant may or may not be pursuing a career in the harness racing industry. Applicant must be at least a high school senior.
• Applicant must have GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Applicant must be (plan to be) enrolled as full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours).
• Graduate students are not eligible.
• Applications & attachments must be typed.
• Applicant name must appear on each page of application and all attachments.
• Use additional paper as needed to list achievements and answer essay questions.
• Answers to questions should be as brief as possible yet still be specific to the topic.
• Applicant must reapply each year for consideration; previous recipients may reapply.
• Recipient(s) will be asked to submit a high-quality digital photo and verification of full-time student status before check will be issued.

Scholarship Checklist:

1. Completed and signed application form.

2. Copy of most recent transcript.

3. Video.

4. Two letters of reference. (May be sent separately.)

5. Other information requested but not included in application form.

Application Deadline: All applications and attachments must be received or postmarked on or before June 1.

Award Notification: Notification will be sent on or before July 15. All applicants will be sent notification of their status.

If you meet the eligibility requirements, you may apply for more than one scholarship through HHYF. However, no applicant shall receive more than one scholarship from HHYF in any given year.

• Who selects the successful applicants?

A committee of HHYF trustees and sponsor representative(s) makes the final scholarship decision.
