The objective of the WYTA Scholarship is to assist individuals who desire to further their education with a focus on telecommunications-related technical skill development.
- The scholarship is open to students graduating high school this year and to students currently enrolled in a college institution.
- Scholarship awards are based on:
- Grade point average, SAT/ACT scores, and school curriculum. (Academic achievements received in high school and/or continuing college/technical school grades) (20%)
- Leadership qualities and character. (30%)
- Community Service and other outside activities. (20%)
- Financial need. (30%)
- Preference will be given to telecommunications-related studies.
- The award amount is $1,000.
- The application form must be submitted by April 15, 2025.
The student or student鈥檚 parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must receive telecommunications service from a participating WYTA member. Eligible companies include All West Communications, Chugwater Telephone Company, Nemont Telephone, Range Companies, Silver Star Communications, TCT/Tri County Telephone, Union Telephone Company. The customer must reside in Wyoming.
Scholarship recipients will be notified via email. Please add admin@wyotelassn.org to your approved list and provide a valid email you check often.
If awarded, student must submit his or her enrollment verification; scholarship funds will be delivered directly to the educational institution.
