As part of our commitment to the communities we call home, Whataburger is proud to offer $600,000 in scholarships for each academic year through our Whataburger Feeding Student Success program. This opportunity is available to eligible students across our 17-state footprint, including both our Guests and our Family Members (employees).
Now in its fifth year, the Whataburger Feeding Student Success Scholarship continues to empower students to chase their dreams. This year, we鈥檙e teaming up once again with Dr Pepper to provide $600,000 in funding鈥$500,000 from Whataburger and $100,000 from Dr Pepper鈥攈elping students access the education they deserve.
120 students will each receive a $5,000 scholarship, which can be used for tuition, books, housing, or other educational expenses. The scholarships are open to students attending any college, university, or not-for-profit vocational school.

Since its launch, the Whataburger Feeding Student Success program has provided more than $6.75 million in support through scholarships, student resource rooms, and community partnerships. It鈥檚 all part of our mission to address education and food insecurity, one student at a time.
Applications for the 2026-2027 scholarships open on January 1, 2026 at 8:00 AM CST, and will close on February 13, 2026 at 5:00 PM CST.

Qualifications
The Feeding Student Success Program is open to students who:
- Will have graduated high school by the end of the 2025-2026 school year
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for high school graduates or college students
- Are pursuing their first associates, undergraduate degree, graduate, or technical school certificate at a 2-year, 4-year, or not-for-profit vocational school.
US Citizen or Legal Resident
Must either live in or be planning to attend school in one of the brand's 17-state footprint. These states include:

Students who have passed their high school equivalency test must include their official test scores with their application by the submission date.
